The NWJC is committed to supporting lived experience leadership and ensuring that women with lived experience of the criminal justice system are fully centred and integrated into our strategic work.
Voices of experiencedrivers of change
The NWJC’s National Voice & Advisory Panel (NVAP) launched in February 2024 and includes women with lived experience of the criminal justice system, recruited from across multiple women’s organisations and parts of England and Wales.
NVAP members share a vision and a passion for driving systemic change to improve outcomes for other women and girls in contact with the criminal justice system.
The NVAP meets regularly to participate in meetings, workshops, discussion forums and focus groups, supported and facilitated by the NWJC’s Women’s Participation working group. Through these sessions, NVAP members can share their expert opinions and insight to shape and inform the NWJC’s strategic influencing, campaigning and messaging work.
