Jabbs Logos Final Col

We’re delighted to announce that The JABBS Foundation has approved a multi-year grant to support the core operational and staff costs of the National Women’s Justice Coalition.

The foundational stability this grant will afford the coalition will help to ensure the NWJC can progress its strategic objectives in 2025 and 2026.
These include:

  • Advancing the NWJC’s influencing activities, targeting the government, Ministry of Justice and key stakeholders, using data, evidence and strategic campaigning and messaging to demonstrate the value of women’s centres, specialist services and community-based alternatives to custody.
  • Driving progress against key policy recommendations and inform national policy development.
  • Centring and prioritising the coalition’s anti-racism and inclusion work by elevating the voices, expertise and priorities of our smaller, specialist, by/for led organisational partners.
  • Embedding the NWJC’s National Voice & Advisory Panel (NVAP) into the coalition’s internally and externally driven work and growing the national reach and capacity of the panel.
  • Affirming the NWJC’s reputation as a ‘go to group’ for expertise on policy and good practice for women affected by criminal justice system.

We are very grateful to Tom McNeil, CEO and Chloe Geoghegan, Head of Programme, for advocating for and supporting our work, and to the JABBS trustees for approving this grant.
