As a coalition with a social justice focus and a commitment to improving outcomes for women and girls, the NWJC seeks out opportunities to collaborate with other organisations from across the women’s and criminal justice sectors. We know that together, we can collate data and evidence, amplify our campaigning and influencing efforts, and unite in collective action.
So this month, we are delighted to welcome and recognise the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies as a Friend of the National Women’s Justice Coalition.
The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies creates lively spaces for collaboration and learning, where conventional criminal justice policy agendas are scrutinised and challenged, fresh knowledge and ideas are discussed, and transformational solutions are developed. The Centre sees improved knowledge and understanding of crime and criminal justice as an inherent good and seeks to apply this knowledge to concrete policy and practice questions and see it as a foundation for effective action to achieve meaningful change.
