Open Book In Library Resized

This month, we are delighted to launch the NWJC Resource Library, a new hub of current evidence-based information about women’s centres and specialist services for women and girls in contact with the criminal justice system (CJS).

The library catalogues a wide range of resources that help to consolidate and demonstrate the collective wisdom and expertise of women’s organisations and criminal justice specialists. It contains briefing papers, reports, policy documents, current research and other useful resources that provide insight, expertise and best practice examples for working with and supporting women.

We hope the NWJC Resources Library will make it easier for women’s organisations and the wider sector to find and cite the evidence that exists to strengthen our collective arguments for community-based alternatives to prison; securing sustainable funding for women’s services; and better understanding and addressing the disadvantages, inequalities and unmet needs experienced by women in contact with the CJS.

The library is completely free to access via our website and includes direct links and downloads to further information and resources. Users can filter searches using keywords, themes, organisation names and format.

We are committed to developing this library further and will be adding more resources on an ongoing basis.

Please contact us if you have any feedback or to recommend any additional resources that should be added to the Resource Library.
